OLED is Organic Light-Emitting Diode. It’s a screen technology where each pixel produces its own light.
Unlike regular LED TVs that need a backlight, OLED pixels can turn completely off. This makes black areas look truly black, not dark grey. It also gives OLED TVs very high contrast and vibrant colors.
Because there’s no backlight layer, OLED panels are thin, flexible, and can even be curved. They also give wider viewing angles, so colors don’t fade when you sit to the side.
OLED TVs are usually premium models from brands like LG and Sony, often costing more than LED TVs. But many people choose them for cinema-like quality, especially when watching HDR movies or football in 4K.
