3.5mm Audio

3.5mm Audio is the small round headphone jack you find on many TVs, phones, and laptops. It’s the standard port used to plug in wired earphones, headphones, or external speakers.

Many modern Smart TVs still include a 3.5mm audio port, so you can connect affordable speakers or headphones directly. In Kenya, this is especially useful for people who want to use older home-theatre systems or wired headsets instead of buying Bluetooth sound systems.

Compared to HDMI or optical audio, 3.5mm gives lower sound quality, but it’s still useful because it works with almost any basic speaker or headphone.
