HEVC (H.265)

HEVC (H.265) is a video compression standard that makes video files smaller without reducing picture quality. It is especially important for 4K and 8K streaming because it uses about half the data compared to the older H.264 format.

HEVC support is needed to stream 4K movies smoothly on Netflix, YouTube, or Showmax without consuming too much internet data.
