Image Persistence

Image Persistence is when a faint “ghost” image stays on the screen even after the picture changes.

It usually happens if a still image, like a logo or news ticker, is left on the screen for a long time.

Unlike permanent burn-in (common on some OLED TVs), image persistence often disappears after watching moving content for a while.
